You guys! When your husband says, “lets go spend the weekend in _________ (fill in the blank),” you pack your bags and hit the road! I mean, honestly, spontaneous adventure with my family is the stuff that makes life great and it fills my cup .
Being new to the Midwest, there are many places we’ve never had the opportunity to visit. Minneapolis being one of those places we were all looking forward to taking this quick trip to the city. And I wont lie, “The Mall of America” was kind of running through my head with exclamation points dancing around it. When I heard there was a mall with a roller coaster in the center of it I immediately wanted to go because, well, I’m not a thrill junkie or anything, but roller coasters are totally my jam. We went, we saw, we were amazed, but then we were ready to go. And if you don’t already know, it isn’t just a roller coaster in the center, it’s a whole dang amusement park!
I’m glad we made it to the mall and I’m sure we will be back but it was really the city that made this trip special for me. Minneapolis is a beautiful city where the streets are filled with beautiful art and architecture, games for kids (and adults), history, and friendly people. I’m not surprised it was voted one of the happiest cities in America. City life in general has always excited me and when I’m in a good one I instantly want to do my hair, put on my coolest outfit and hit the streets to explore the sites, talk to the people, and eat good food. I always leave wishing I lived there and go home filled with inspiration and determination to do something great. Our visit here was surely that kind of an experience and being there with my family made is 100%.
